In one of the Gallery's most ambitious exhibitions ever, an entire floor will be dedicated to more than 200 works including masterpieces such as Warhol's Triple Elvis, Lichtenstein's In the car and his first ever comic-style painting Look Mickey; and David Hockney's Portrait of an artist.
For the first time Australian artists are showcased with their international peers, with works such as Howard Arkley's Triple fronted and Brett Whiteley's 22 metre-long The American dream celebrating Australia's pop art.

Chuck Close: Prints, Process and Collaboration

Chuck Close: Prints, Process and Collaboration is the largest collection of Close's work ever presented in the southern hemisphere.
One of America's best-loved visual artists, Close is famed for his large scale, photo-based portrait paintings. His highly inventive techniques have featured in more than 200 solo exhibitions in more than 20 countries. Close has produced many iconic portraits of well-known public figures including Brad Pitt, Cindy Sherman, Roy Lichtenstein and President Obama.
